Jordi Martinez is an artist who lives and breaths music; a native of Manresa, Barcelona, Jordi has been playing the guitar from an early age, continually evolving his sound, feel and love for the instrument.
Jordi is well known in the music scene in different aspects: session player, producer, workshop/clinic presenter and most importantly a live player who strives to create a highly memorable experience for audiences and fellow musicians alike.
At first glance, Jordi may appear informal and casual which belies the energetic, organic, highly adaptive musician and showman who will reveal himself on a stage with his band Autoput with a live energy and masterful guitar work. His passion for the guitar shines through in both the moments of blistering guitar solos and but also the filling of the spaces between the rest of the band to create a singular powerful movement. In any of the Autoput shows, each musician is unique, each are of the same level and none are ever just a supporting role for someone else's glory.
Taking a step closer, finding the intimate moments, Jordi also makes up a key component of other diverse groups alongside singer and Autoput frontman David Sais. Firstly, the duo of Aquell Parell, a small semi-acoustic duo specialising in calm and dynamic renditions of some of the best loved and well known songs, for informal moments where the emotion and energy of live music can shape or cement a memory, to arrive at a sound where the music is part of the setting or environment itself.
When the moment comes to bring the glitz, the third prong of Jordi's trifecta is “&Swing”, a unique and genre disrupting trio who will delight and surprise at any event with their interpretations of modern classics and rock&roll standards.
At present, Jordi can be found working on the 2020 live tour to support the release of “SatelliteK” by Salva Racero (Lax'N'Busto), with Jordi composing two of the singles from the album alongside producer Xasqui Ten (Shakira, Black Eyed Peas, Lady GaGa). The tour in support of the album commences in October 2019 with the public unveiling of the live show and continues through the country during 2020.
With each step on the path, Jordi shines with his technicality, his musical and melodical prowess, but with his feet firmly rooted and without casting indifference to public or major musical brands and organisations.
Jordi closely works as a musician, or producer for different Independent Record Labels from Spain such as Crea Music ( http://creamusic.creamultimedia.net/qui-som ), appearing on different recordings or as a live guitar player by their signed artists.
